SRMIST grants solar cell tech license to Anabond

Hyderabad: SRM Institute of Science and Technology has licensed a patented solar cell encapsulant technology to Anabond Limited, marking a key step in domestic clean-tech manufacturing and deep-tech commercialisation. The technology, developed by Prof. K Ananthanarayanan and his research team, improves the durability and environmental resistance of photovoltaic modules by strengthening encapsulant materials that protect solar cells from degradation. Dr. S Ponnusamy, Registrar, SRMIST, said: “This agreement reflects SRMIST’s commitment to translating cutting-edge research into impactful industrial solutions and demonstrates how academic innovation can directly fuel technological advancement and industrial competitiveness,” said Dr. S.
